WE ARE WHERE WE COME FROM
Our connection with the land and the beer is prior to our project’s beginning. Taking into account that we come from here is what gave sense and personality to what was a dream yesterday but a reality today, Órbigo Valley.
We first started by brewing beer, Four Lions. Later, we reminded that there was somebody in our families who had worked the land.
If our present and past was in León, then, why not bank on the future and make up our connection with agriculture to grow the best hop and brew great beer? This is how Órbigo Valley was born in 2016.
EVERY YEAR WE FARM A NEW CROP WITH THE SAME IDEA
Reverting the benefits generated by Órbigo Valley on our environment so as to keep a sustainable life style and avoid depopulation in our land.
Getting the quality of the hop by basing on research, respect and balance between agriculture and environment and treating the product with the greatest delicacy.
Knowing perfectly how the best beer is brewed and the added value that quality hop provides. Without good hop, great beer cannot be brewed.
The peace of mind of relying on the help of the University of León in order to be highly accurate as regards the natural growing methodology that we apply, always free from pesticides and accelerators.
León is one of the areas where hop has been growing for decades, specifically, in the Órbigo Valley. The characteristics of the land and the micro-climate, similar to Yakima’s, make our Valley a privileged location to grow hop.
If we add the utmost care and supervision given to our harvest, the result is a high quality hop, designed exclusively to brew the best craft beer.
OUR T-90 PELLET VARIETIES
Moreover, we have proposed to increase, little by little, our varieties and we already grow 6 from different origins. However, the Órbigo Valley’s land and climate provide them a unique personality and aroma.
After harvesting the crop, nearly immediately, it is T-90 pelleted and vacuum packed in 5-kg bags. This way, we preserve all their qualities so as to guarantee an excellent state of conservation.
